DAY 15 – THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE
As a fan of Giallo films, sometimes I have difficulty describing what should be the perfect example of the genre. After watching Emilio Miraglia’s THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE (1971), I will no longer have that problem. Although I will say this is not my favorite Giallo picture, it certainly hits every trait, motif, and trope of the genre. There is brutal violence, ample nudity, a vividly-prismatic color palette, and a pounding score to truly let you know what sort of movie you’re watching. I’ll let the trailer below speak for itself…
7/10
Glad to hear that it is as good as the trailer made it out to be! It was already on my list of must see movies, but I guess it needs to be a bit closer to the top.
